We are nearing the end of October now and colder weather has already started setting in. This means I can finally rock one more layer over the tees I’ve been wearing all summer, which is fantastic. I got to check out some light layering options from Breakbounce’s new Autumn/Winter ’16 collection, which is quite interesting.
What is most interesting about this collection is that they’ve actually split it into ranges that are vastly different from one another, so it’s more like a collection made of smaller capsules. There’s an upcycled/DIY style collection, an 80’s inspired collection and my favourite, the Sixth Sense collection. If the preceding images haven’t told you already, the reason I love this collection is because it consists of simple pieces in monochromatic whites and greys.
Comfy knits with details like these varsity chest patches and sleeve stripes are reminiscent of sports jerseys and do a good job providing a little bit of contrast. The zippers feature debossed logos – a nice touch.
The henley that I layered under the jacket has unfinished hems all around including the sleeves and collar. It is refreshing to see an Indian brand making a tee that doesn’t have a slim fit. And without any massive branding.
With the Sixth Sense range, Breakbounce has managed to make some solid pieces that feature nice details and can be worn daily easily without sacrificing comfort. That is the essence of good streetwear.
